I have been weighttraining for over two years now. This has been a great journey of which I wrote an article earlier this year which you can find elsewhere on this site. In the process I have been searching the internet for knowledge about how to make the training better, still learning 😉 During this search I stumbled upon Crossfit. Crossfit really appeals to me because of its no specialisation concept. But I have no CF box (that’s how a CF gym is called) nearby, so I have had no real upportunity to do CF.

It just so happens that I got in contact with someone doiing CF regularly and I got again motivated to try it. So I have signed up at Crossfit020 for three weeks. Planning to do as much trainingsession as possible. This week I started this short journey and I think I’m really hooked already.

The trainingsessions start with warm-up and form training on the movements that has to be done at the WOD (Workout of the Day). The trainers/coaches at Crossfit020 are very strict in learning the correct form for all the movements. No correct form can easily lead to veruse and injuries. This they want to avoid at all costs.

Everyday there is a WOD. this WOD is never the same as the WOD of the day before. No specialisation. Over the course of several WOD’s alle energysystems get triggert. There are WOD’s with short bursts with high weights and there are WOD’s that can be 40 minutes with only bodyweight. The movements are defided into three category’s, weightlifting (really nice and tuff stuff) gymnastic movements and cardio stuff……… to be continued….
